Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server provided to the general public

Amazon has announced the general provision of Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server.New services support legacy and customized applications.Such applications depended on a specific configuration and third -party tools and have not been able to move to a full -managed database.

Last October, Amazon announced RDS Custom.This is a managed service for applications that require access to the base operating system and the database environment.With the latest announcement in Re: INVENT, SQL Server is the second database engine supported by the RDS custom, second only to Oracle.The new options are designed for SQL Server applications that depend on the customization of corporate environments such as Microsoft SharePoint and content management systems.
