Unique (UNIQ) "UQ-PM14FHDNT2" is a 14-inch mobile display. The thinnest part is only about 4.4 mm, which is ultra-thin, and although it is 14-inch, it has a lightweight body that is nominally about 465 g (main body only).

The company's Prometheus monitor has developed multiple lineups of different sizes, and this model will be treated as a successor to the conventional 14-inch "UQ-PM14FHDNT". I borrowed the actual machine from the manufacturer, so I will send you a review.

Lightweight for a 14-inch and built-in speaker

First, let's hold down the basic specifications. The screen size is 14 inches and the resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels. An IPS panel is used, and the panel surface is non-glare processed with little reflection.

The contrast ratio is 800: 1, the viewing angle is 170 degrees up / down / left / right, the refresh rate is 60 Hz, and the response time is 6 milliseconds. It does not support touch operation.

The strength of this product is the thinness of the body, which is common in mobile displays, with a stepped shape on the back, but the thickness of the upper part is only about 4.4 mm. Although it is not as good as the 13.3-inch model, which is about 3.7 mm, it is in the very thin category for a general mobile display.

For this reason, the body is also characterized by being as light as 458g in actual measurement. This is the value of the main body only, and the actual measurement is 719g when the stand that also serves as a cover is added, but it is still light enough for the 14 type. Since the stand that also serves as a cover can be completely separated, there are many opportunities to experience this lightness.

The stand, which doubles as a protective cover, uses a mechanism that attracts the main body with a magnet. When used as a cover, part of the back will remain exposed, so it's best to think of it as basically only the screen.

The connection method is mini HDMI and USB Type-C, and the product comes with a cable that supports these two types of connection methods and a USB Type-A → Type-C cable that is used for power supply when connecting to HDMI. USB adapter etc. are not included.

In addition to having a built-in speaker on the bottom, it is also equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack, and has a full range of audio-related functions. These are often scraped off on mobile displays, especially the 14-inch model, which is likely to appeal to users who need them.

The appearance features and specifications we have seen so far are the same as the conventional model "UQ-PM14FHDNT". The only difference in the spec sheet is that the response time, which was not specified in the past, is 6 milliseconds, so there may have been a change in the panel components.
