Before that, let's pair the PS5 "DualSense Wireless Controller" or PS4's "DUALSHOCK4" with your smartphone via Bluetooth.
For iPhones and iPads, iOS/iPadOS 14.5 or higher supports remote play with DualSense. Please note that the app "PS Remote Play" on Android does not yet support DualSense, and only supports "DUALSHOCK 4" attached to PS4.
Since it is possible to connect the smartphone and the controller itself, I would like to expect an update of the application. So, if you want to remote play with the DualSense wireless controller that comes with PS5, Apple products are recommended. This time, I'm trying it using an iPhone 12 mini with iOS 14.6.
Pairing itself is not difficult, make sure that the DualSense player lamp (the center part under the touchpad) is off, and press the "PS" button and the upper left create (Share in DUALSHOCK 4) button. If you press and hold it, the light bars (left and right of the touchpad) will blink at high speed, waiting for pairing. Next, search for and select the device with [Bluetooth] from the smartphone settings screen.
If the connection is lost after pairing once, press the "PS" button to restore the connection with the smartphone. If you want to disconnect the smartphone and connect the controller to the PS5, you can connect the PS5 and the DualSense wireless controller with a USB Type-C cable.
If pairing fails, you can force a reset by pressing the reset button on the back of the controller with a toothpick.
