Here, it is set using "Aterm WG2600HP3" of NEC Platforms. The setting screen differs depending on the router, but the rules for specifying the host of the destination LAN, the protocol you want to transfer, and the port number are basically the same. For the host on the LAN side, specify the IP address found in (4).Added port mapping rules that specify "TCP" as the protocol and "3389" as the port number.
Check the IP address on the WAN side
Start [Remote Desktop Connection] and specify the IP address on the WAN side as the connection destination. Specify the account to connect to. By default, the account currently signed in to the computer is displayed, so click [Other], select [Use another account], and specify the account used on the connected computer. Click the [Connect] button to connect with Remote Desktop.
Editor's note: Allowing RDP connection from the WAN side poses a security risk, so increase the strength of the password to log in to Windows, close the TCP3389 port of the router if it is not necessary, if absolutely necessary We strongly recommend that you take measures such as changing the port used for RDP connection in the registry.
