All 9 lectures. This is a web-based seminar that combines viewing lectures using Moodle and live discussions using Microsoft Teams. It will be implemented in a configuration that combines "participatory" elements with viewing lectures on the Web. Anyone who is studying global health or public health, or who is interested in international health and medical cooperation can participate. It is also possible to take only one course on a topic that interests you.
The 5th conference will be held under the theme of "improving the quality of healthcare in low- and middle-income countries." In 2016, the 1st Ministerial Global Patient Safety Summit was held in London, UK. In 2018, the 3rd conference was held in Japan for the first time in Asia. The “Tokyo Declaration” on patient safety was proposed, and September 17th of each year was designated as “World Patient Safety Day”. *Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare HP 3rd Ministerial World Patient Safety Summit Tokyo Declaration on Patient Safety (tentative Japanese translation) There are disparities in the quality of medical care around the world, health is sometimes harmed by unguaranteed medical care, medical accidents that have become a major social problem both in Japan and overseas, and a society in which the quality of medical care is affected. Finally, I would like to introduce an example of activities in Vietnam, where the NCGM International Medical Cooperation Bureau has been supporting since 1991 for specific efforts to improve the quality of medical care and patient safety in low- and middle-income countries.
Lecturer is ItoSatoshi Rou ruby>Doctor and MoriyamaJun< rt>JunNurse, Masahiko DoiI'm a nurse. All three are specialists in international health and medical cooperation, and are still involved in projects such as supporting the promotion of medical safety at Cho Ray Hospital, which serves as the final referral in southern Vietnam. Cho Ray Hospital also provides undergraduate education for medical students, trains specialists, and provides guidance to other medical institutions.
