It would be normal to feel that there was such a big turning point.

　However, every year, when we touch on various products in a simultaneous test many times a year, the quality of products that go beyond the numbers and function updates published in the catalog and groan with surprise, "This is good!" I sometimes meet I have incorporated such products into my system as a standard for product evaluation, but this year I replaced 3 of the main system equipment. In the last 10 years, the system has never changed so suddenly.

　One of them is the world's first UHD Blu-ray playback function Panasonic "DMR-UBZ1" (although it is yet to be introduced at home). Despite four times more pixels, color depth, HDR, and support for new codecs, it delivers the quality you'd expect without simplifying video processing. However, since it is the first machine, it is like a special frame.

　However, the remaining two models are mature product categories that have existed for a long time in the genre of AV equipment. One is Yamaha's AV amplifier "CX-A5100" and the other is OPPO Digital's "BDP-105D JAPAN LIMITED".
