While Microsoft has been plagued with printer problems in Windows 10 for some time now, Windows 11 seems to have yet another problem. This is especially true if you are using a printer with a USB connection. There have been reports of users not being able to use USB printers after upgrading to Windows 11. If you're using a USB-connected printer, you might want to wait a little longer before upgrading to Windows 11.
For example, Brother reports the status of support for Windows 11 in its products on the following page. Most of them are under investigation at the time of writing this article, but basically it is recommended not to upgrade to Windows 11 if you are using the company's printer with a USB connection.
If the USB-connected printer becomes unusable, it is explained as a temporary workaround, such as connecting with a method other than USB if the model can be connected to the network.
Even after upgrading to Windows 11, you can return to Windows 10 within 10 days (reference "How to revert from Windows 11 to Windows 10 | TECH+"). Another option is to go back to Windows 10 until the issue is resolved.
